form instead of wysiwyg editor

Hello,

I'm searching something like this:
http://www.opencms.org/opencms/en/support/tour/6.html

I want to offer a form instead of the wysiwyg editor. There should be input fields for the user so that content like name, date or other content can be entered.
How can I realize this? Is a module available that provides this functionality?

Thanks
Fabi

Hi,

i don`t know any module which provides this.

But it`ll be a very fine feature!

I think to do this you have to patch the core of Opencms.

May be you have a look at the News-Module 1.4 which is available for downlaod at
opencms.al-arenal.de

Hope this helps

These are called "Backoffice Modules". They are launched from the administrative area and are based off of channels typically. The documentation for these is very difficult to find. Most of what I have done in this area has been trial and error.

Hi all,

just a newbie too...
I have the same problem as described here some months ago. Has anyone seen a good tutorial for this purpose?

Thanx,

Have a look on opencms.al-arenal.de

There you can find tutorials for developing backoffice Modules.

Anyway it is a lot of work, to create a module like this in the link.

If you want to spy, then download the news module 2.1 There are the sources included.

Kind Regards

btw. there are some companies who develop individual modules for you!
