HowTo CmsShell...command line based facility

Hi guys,
Someone cud throw some light on this feature plz :idea:
The features list in the OpenCMS site says about a " cmsShell "

Yes, please. Anything. Just a hint, please. When invoked via cmsshell.bat, current user is a guest with no privileges and no way to change. By the command list it could save me a lot of time, but I've just wasted half a day realizing it is completely useless. Are most Open Source products so bereft of adequate documentation or is this a special case?
